Default 5.3 missing and stalling

my 2002 z71 w/ 5.3 & auto trans is popping, dropping idle and stalling then it wont start. I pulled the trouble codes and it had 2 codes both for too lean . Any idea's on the problem and a fix for the problem? thanks for the help.

I have had this code in a few trucks and it turns out to be bad gas, after putting fuel treatment in we solved this by only getting gas from a reliable source, Shell or QT. I am sure Argon has some ideas on this, he has probably ran across this more than I have.

definitely soundsa like a bad gas mixture. I myself recommend a bottle of DRY-GAS, the stuff works well, and the alcohol in the mixture evaporates the water. If that doesnt fix the problem, water is heavier than gas so pull the drain from the bottom of your tank, it might or might not have one? but pull the drain, and when you are absolutley positive it is all gasoline, and no water coming out, close it back up and try starting it again.

Man I hope for your sake it's not like my '03 5.3L that had same symptoms. Turned out to be broken valve springs. Chevy must've found a cheaper supplier that has a different view of heat treating. Looking to unload this lemon now before the other 14 springs decide to go.

Hey, if you want you can pay for a screwing from me. Mount Rushmore is yours for a mere $1,000,000,000. Just don't **** and moan on a real estate forum b/c you didn't do your research. It sucks what happened to you, I'll give you that, but be pissed at the dealer and yourself, not GM. Did you take it anywhere for another estimeate???
