Default 86 chevy silv needs an exhaust

hey everybody, i have a old school chevy silverado 1986 silverado k30 with a 454.

i want to find a good exhaust to put on it i have heard good reviews about borla,

any suggestions? any clue as to what kind of price range i should be expecting?

i would prefer to do all the installation myself.

thank you everyone for your time. -Dave

Yeah Borla is good and costs a pretty penny also. For that motor you will be better off running true dual set up. That big block needs to breathe! IMO, I would look for a full set up with headers, mufflers, mandrel bent piping, hangers, etc. A cat back alone will be great but a full set up with headers will add a lot to those big blocks. As far as price, Im guessing around $900. But well worth it.

i actually would have expected worse so that is fine, the truck is kind of a family heirloom and it just got handed to me from my grandfather as he is getting up in his age and cant give it the love it needs any more.

he purchased the truck brand new had it custom built so on and so forth, its old and been well used and it was prime in its day so i wanna bring it back to prime for todays standards.

would you say borla is " the best" or...?
