Default 93 Silverado hesitant shifting

Hello all. I have a 93 Silverado, 5.7l, Auto trans, 4X4. Been having a problem lately with it shifting sometimes in drive, but mostly in overdrive. When going in these gears, it seems like it gradually shifts. 1st and 2nd are fine and drive is good sometimes. The truck keeps pulling, no increase in RPM's. It just takes a few seconds for it to get fully in gear. Letting off the gas helps alot. I am thinking of the worst case scenerio, the transmission is going out. I have read on other vehicles about sensors going bad. Any thoughts?

Sounds like you have a delayed or double engagement issue. This is usually caused by a valve body problem, worn clutches or a weak pump. My opinion is it should just be rebuilt now while its still "good" or you could face added expence for replacing hard parts
