Bought the truck awhile back and has tranny problems. Its an automatic. ive replaced number 2 solenoid, replaced speed sensors, changed fluid and gotten out all impurities in the tranny fluid. The truck shifts in first, third, and fourth, but when your in first and its trying to go into second you have to push on the gas til about 2 and a half rpms then let off the gas and punch back on to get it to shift. The only other thing i could try is a full rebuild. If any one knows what it could be before i do the rebuild it would very much be appreciated. the rebuild kit will be purchased in two weeks if i cant get it figured out.

 

Rebuild it!!!! Trannys are the one thing you really dont want to "throw" parts at. spend the extra now and save the heart ache later

 

Just replaced accumulator, servo, and just checked the TPS. All readouts are good on the TPS as far as I can tell. Still no luck though. The rebuild is a last resort so for now i would rather just try to pick it apart and narrow it down. Thanks
