94 gmc k1500 tbi. injectors wont fire.gaahhh
hi everyone. im new to this forum, just joined actually.
i bought a 94 gmc sierra half ton 4 wheel drive for 500 bux a few weeks ago.
its got a 350 with throttle body injection
first thing i had to do was replace nearly all the fuel lines. one exploded the day i got it lol.. anyways i had to pull the tank and discovered the whole pup assembly out side the tank was so rusted it was desintegrated. so instead but buying a new assembly for 240 bux i just punched out the lines through the top plate and drilled a 1/2 inch hole where the pressure and return line were. then i stuck 3/8 fuel injection hose through the plate and hooked it up. i then proceeded to fix the remaining lines. so here is the deal
it will start and run but only after i spray some starter fluid in it. i can watch the injectors while cranking and thet wont fire, but if i add some starter fluid and it runs a bit then the injectors take over..
now i know the fp relay and the pump are priming and that the pump itself is good i can hear and feel both when the key is turned on. but why wont the injectors fire?? what would happen if i accedently swapped the fuel lines while i was fixing it? would it cause this?? it seems like the injctors dribble a bit while cranking..
thanks in advance
