Default 97 exhaust

Hey guys i am looking at putting on a new muffler on my truck. I dont want to loose any power or torque(dont think i spelled that right). I want one that is cheap or fairly cheap but that works real well. Thanks in advance guys

Well i put a Flowmaster on my truck, it was also a 97. It had a duel in duel out, shorty headersand i cut the cats off. I didnt really notice any loss in power but it was kinda hard for me to tell because of my 35 inch tires and i was 16so ididnt really notice those kind of changes. There was still really good pick up but the gas millage going up was the thing i noticed the most. And it sounded really awsome!!!

That is probley not the cheapest route to go but that worked really well for me. And tomarrow im getting an Exhaust installed on my new truck and it is going to be a flowmaster. That is the only brand of muffler that i will ever buy.

I cant really remember but i think it was around 400, that is with the instaltion of the headers. So proble a bit cheaper then that with out the extra instaltion cost.

cheapest is find them online and a shop that will let you bring in the parts to save on the surcharge that theyy charge for parts. but as far as torque losses go you wont really loose much on that truck, theyre not as sensitive to exhaust changes as the new ones are. but go with a single in dual out if you want it to run the same but have good sound.
