99 Sierra 1500 cranks but won't start
Two days ago I went to start my truck and it cranked over twice then just stopped and wouldn't do anything when I turned the key. From there I assumed the starter/ soleniod went bad so I removed it the next day and installed a new one. I also had to replace the wire ends that hook up to the starter as they were ready to break and I wanted good connections. So now the truck turns over and over and won't start. When I turn the key I can hear the fuel pump kick on but it still won't start. I had the front of the truck on jackstands from Thurs night to Fri night but now it just won't fire. ANY IDEAS?

It will definitely just turn over if the pump is bad. It is just weird that you would have a running truck that due to a solenoid/cable issue won't turn over and then you fix that issue and the pump goes out. Do a pressure check if your leaning that way, but that would be one heck of a coincidence.

'99 chevy silverado 1500 4.3l reg cab 4sp crank but no start
Hey I am have the same issue now. Seems like when I replace something it starts like a champ, only thing is I'm almost of of things to replace besides replacing the truck! Cranking strong! Tested battery, 100%, tested alternator twice and good to go. Checked all fuses (I did notice my fuel pump wouldn't cycle unless the key was in a certain position, I swapped the relay with the horn relay and it was good to go). Replaced fuel filter, started and ran for a while then stopped. Replaced fuel pump, ran strong then stopped after a while. Replaced engine crank sensor, ran good, then stopped. Replaced distributor cap and rotor ( checked bushing and no excess play) start real quick and ran, then stopped. Off that, I've replaced the water pump just because it needed it, replaced the blower motor for ac and heat, replaced transistor, regular maintenance. Checked all grounds (noticed I left the ground on the front of the bed area loose after I tilted the bed to replace the fuel pump, tightened it and still nothing) and as stated checked all fuses and tested all relays for resistence. Only other issue i have had was the truck would periodically "bog out" in a sense and sometimes pick back up while other times I had to put it in park and restart. And on two occasions, my instrument lights along with radio and those lights and my headlights turned off.... after some playing around I randomly turned on my headlights (which normally are on all the time, annoying, but were when this happened) with the switch and everything came back. I have also recently discovered that even when the truck is off, if the light switch gets turned on the lights come on of course, but so does my radio. I've toyed with the crankshaft position sensor with no spacers, 1 spacer and 2 spacers to no avail. I turned the headlight switch on just to make sure that wasn't messing with the no start, and it didn't help. I hit the bottom of fuel tank, just in case with my luck I got a shot fuel pump. Nothing. Doesn't sound like it's out of time, no random patterns to show misfiring. Side note, I did notice that my old distributor rotor had a plastic piece on the contact, after looking online I saw that a few didn't and about the same amount did when it came to replacements, so I don't know if that matters, but as I said when I replaced it initially it was fine. I seriously have to idea what else to check!?! Its enough to drive me mad.... oh, and I did check and clean the security switch/plug above the ignition switch, and insured that I placed the sparkplug wires in the appropriate order on the distributor cap. ANY other suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
