Thanks man, I can't find the answer to this question though. It was somewhat cool here today and the fan never came on, but the A/C was like ice the entire ride. One guy told me the fan should kick on as soon as I turn the A/C on, but then why is it connected to a high pressure switch and a temp switch. Common sense tells me it should come on when the temp gets high enough to need it. FYI this truck has a mechanical fan and the electric one is just an auxiliary.

the fan should only run when necessary... which in general is all the time if its hot outside, but in moderate temps sometimes the fan isn't needed to control temperatures. thats why its wired to the switches.

I am still not sure if the fan is working, but will definitely find out today. My mom is in town and has requested a boat ride so we are getting ready to load up and head to the lake. Pulling that monster it should come on! I'll let you know. I would still like to know the temp it is supposed to come on at though.
