Default B&M 700-r4 shift kit

I am curious whats all involved in installing a shift kit in my truck. Is it a simple job that can be done in the home garage.

Its not real easy but if you are mechanically inclined, I think you could. It mainly has to do with the valve body(lots of little parts). Here is a video to give you an idea. It is for a 4L60E which is the same but with eletrical parts.

Which of the 2 shift kits; B&M or Trans Co, do you feel is the better way to go?
