Default block lift?

hey guys i'd love to lift my truck a little bit i heard body lifts arn't the way to go and i really don't want to spend the money on a suspension lift so i think i may go with the block lift. I dont know much but i think i would need the block lift in the back and puck spacers in the front? Im thinkin maybe 3 inches but id like to have 3 in front and back if i could. Im just wondering if anyone has heard anything bad about this way out??

Im also planning on getting bigger tires because im sure the stock size wouldnt look as good after the lift.
I'd also like to get offset rims but dont know what im getting myself into, what sizes? problems? things like that.

Any help or advice?

Thanks.

spacers will only work on the front if you have 2wd... if you have a 4wd, you can get aftermarket torsion keys and blocks in the back for a lot less than a suspension lift.should get youthree in the front and two in the back.

It is 4 wheel drive so i need to find aftermarket torsion keys for the frontthat would give me 3 inch lift? But i found 3 inch block lifts for the back so i guess if i can find what your talking about than i can get 3 out of the front and back. I dont know anything about these torsion keys so i have no idea what is involved but that sounds like a good option because someone told me that i couldnt put pucks in the front on my truck anyway because of some way the suspension is set up. I really have no clue. So until now i only knew of getting the body lift for the front so thanks for the additional option ill have to look into it.

Also i heard it effects the spedometer when you lift the truck and put bigger tires so i guess im in for even more.

The puck lift that I know of is the body lift. The hockey pucks give about an inch of body lift. I am planning on doing that myself, I just have to get the hockey pucks and hopefully my back will hold on long enuf to do the lift in a weekend. As far as the tires throwing off the speedo, yes it does. I also highly recommend getting it recalibrated or using a programmer for the recalibration. That will help keep the law off your back. I basically have the same truck as you. I have different sized tires on it and have had no problems becouse they aren't that far off from the original size if you plan on getting 33's under it then you shoud be fine. If you plan on getting 35's or bigger then get a programmer and recalibrate the speedo and tune the truck for the extra power. That will also help with the fuel milage. If you get a programmer, and it is not set up to just your vin, let me know I may want to pay you a bit and barrow it for a weekend.

it will only be off around 4-5 mph at 70, and less at lower speeds... not sure exactly how much but its not by a lot
