Brake question for newb
Don't know much about fixing cars. I'm going to have a friend of mine do a brake job for me. I was planning on replacing the pads and rotors all the way around. Is there anything else I should change out while I'm at it? The truck I have is a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 2wd ls, 4.8 liter. Has 87000 miles on it. Also, which brand of pads and rotors should I go with? Thanks for helping me out...

Dont really need to spend alot of money for name brands my friend. As long as the install is done right, you shouldn't have a worry in the world. The front end should cost bout $80, the back bout $100. Also get a brake flush. Hydraulic fluid tends to build up moisture pretty easy, thats what causes brake line failure. The flush should only be about $35.
