Default in cab air cleaner

Since I bought my truck I have been able to smell anything from outside the truck inside the truck. ex: if someone is smoking outside I can smell it as if they were in the truck, also if a diesel truck is near me I can smell that inside my truck, etc. anybody have any solutions to this? I did not have this issue in my 93'.

sounds like someone may not have replaced those cabin air filters correctly or put new ones in, that big black plastic cover under the dash on your passager side covers up all that..four screwsandwiggle that out. then you'll see a 1 1/2 inch L shaped"holding tab" thatsstraight down and to the left of your glove box, theres a lock tab on the top. open that and you will see a retangle filter or rather the grey colored foam on the side of it. wiggle that out and there will be one more identical to it forward of the first one.

I took that filter out because it was clogged, now I don't have one in there and I don't smell anything like that, I second the weatherstripping idea.

I have an '89 Chevy truck, does it also have cab filters? I doesn't seem to blow very much air.

On your climate control, use the setting that recycles the air that is already in the truck (recirculate). If the smells persist, it's your weatherstripping. If not, it's your filter. Not a solution, but a quick test.
