Hey all - 98 Silverado - what's this capped off radiator outlet for, and should it be connected to something?

heater hose outlet some configs had one going to the radiator instead of the waterpump. you saw this alot with aftermarket radiators and older model trucks

Ha, all hockey trashtalking aside (thanks for the laugh, ecutts ... this looks like an aftermarket radiator - or is 98 an older model truck?
