my center consule for my 2003 silverado bench seat arm rest center consule lid keeps breaking does anybody have an idea why I've brought three new ones and they have done the same thing

What is broken, latch, hinge, latch interlock? Is it the same break each time?

Precisely! My 2000 Silverado's arm rest lid is still working fine. Never an issue, though the cloth around the edges is showing so wear.

My neighbors kid broke the armrest cover off of his truck (2002 Chevy) by simply over stuffing the thing and slamming it closed. Broke the hinge. If it doesn't close easily, there is something wrong. lol
