clunking

only when i start it up after a rain or humid day that next morniung start up. does it only in the morning. doesnt make sense
anyone got any ideas

more info please...........is it from the engine ? what does it sound like other than a clunk?......when has it had a tune up last?....any codes?

just had the starter and the distributor cap replaced. i really couldnt tell you where its coming from but the more like almost kiks back when it does it

when you say it "kicks"....do you mean a back fire or or ignition misfire?

Did you buy some cheap cap from Auto Zone because I have heard ton's of people getting junk from them? My buudy next door bought some cheap Auto Zone parts for a tune up but after he placed them on his truck ran even worst the new cheap Auto Zone wires had three bad wires.

no i had a local shop do it and my family is good friends with them. and it doesnt backfire its just like i lose all power in the turn of the key. its like when you crank over the starter when the engine is running or just started
idk guys its bothering me though

they covered the starter because i just gt it put in two months ago. leave it to carquest
