i have a 1992 chev 1500 with 350 engine and throttlebody.

I started having problems with loss of power and strong odor of fuel. The computer would not thro any codes. Catalyic converter is fine, fuel system is fine. Checked the computer hidden behind the glove box and it was almost too hot to handle.

The computer was replaced. Truck ran fine for 1200 miles on the new computer and then acted up again as before. Computer replaced again under warranty (autozone). Truck again ran great but only for 400 miles and then back to running bad.

It runs good, then very abruptly runs like its missing badly, and then will suddenly correct itself and run right.

Sometimes these bad running spells last for a long time, sometimes for just a few seconds. At the moment, it has ran like a champ for the past 100 miles.

Any thoughts?
