RE: CPU tune
GENIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish I had thought of it first! It may take a month or so but I think I know some poeple with an interest in this idea. Start your patent info now cause you are gonna be R-I-C-H!
Spring rates are going to be an issue, but they are cheap.

RE: CPU tune
Hey Smoke20, what did you tell Wheatley to change when you did your tune? Did you gain any MPG or were you going for all power? I am going to get a tune similar to yours but I need to know if it will kill my gas mileage or damage my tranny or something in the long run. Basically, what Im asking is what are the downsides to getting a cpu tune? and what do I need to ask for to get results like yours?
thanks for the help

RE: CPU tune
JohnAdamsR - I have gained a little in all around milage. I used to take it easy to get the milage where I am now with regular driving. I went with moderate firm normally and really firm under full throttle. The only downside is if you are going slow and let off suddenly it shifts hard. But firm is better for the tranny as there is less slipping. There are no downsides I have noticed, but with Wheatley you have to be patient. I also went aggressive with taking out Tq management. I still can't spin the tires on dry pavement, but will spin all day long with a little water on the road. I am very impressed. If I were you I would do all the intake mods I could, then tune. Feel free to PM me and I will give you my number for further questions that need in depth discussion.

Sorry Smoke...looks like you're reinventing the wheel, so to speak.
Anyway, here is a link to a similar deal....http://autospeed.drive.com.au/cms/A_2291/article.html

RE: CPU tune
Yes I have seen that already, but that is not the idea I am working on. Mine is much better, and varies based on flow not electric or vaccuum power which requires manual input or throttle spring input. Mine does it automatically and is adjustable for any vehicle and any amount of flow.
