Magnacharger positive displacementblowers work like putting that much cubic inches on the motor. For example if you get the 122 you can basically assume that it has added 122 cu/inches to your current motor. They work great too, I plan on getting one for my truck if I decide that I am going to have it for at lease three years! They also have a bypass valve on them that basically make it like it's not there when you don't need it. That would help save fuel! Turbo setups need to be tuned to get the most out of them, especially when driving in town. Otherwise they are dogs like smoke20 said.

That's just not true about turbos. It is true that you have to tune a vehicle that you add an aftermarket turbo to but the idea is to not get an insanely huge turbo. And nowadays they make fairly large turbos with a lot less turbo lag then they used to be. From a dead stop a large turbo sucks, but from a dead stop a small turbo is lethal! A turbo is much more efficient cause you can save gas with them. They are only boosting when you get on it. Other wise they are just overcoming vacuum for you most of the time. You can turbocharge anything and it still be a very tame creature, and you can hook an aftermarket boost controller to it to bump it up from say 4psi to 15psi when your at the track... that is if you've tuned the engine to handle that much. When it comes down to it it really just depends on the application. Towing/hauling, drag strip you'd want a supercharger. All out racing on the highway or just wanna save gas by not boosting all the time, get a turbo.

Yes, but superchargers don't boost all the time either. It all depends on the application that you have to determine what you will want to put on. I personally don't really care for turbo gas vehicles. It seems too unpractical to put a turbo on something that would work a lot better with a supercharger. Diesels need a turbo and they work best with them, that's why they have them.
