Default Custom tuned cpu installed.

Well i guess i was the guinea pig and had charlie custom tune my cpu. He shipped it saturday morning and i got it this afternoon so two days is not bad. I installed it and went for a drive. I just have to say it is so much better truck the throttle respone is better the trany shifts are better and the truck is just alot faster filling. The bolt that holds the wire harness on is 9/32 socket for the people that change theres out. Good luck with your guys tunes.

Is it different from a Super chip or Power programmer?

Yes everything i have heard is a custom tune is so much better then a super chip or power programmer. I have not had either so i do not know. But for $225 and lifetime updates for free its not a bad deal to me.

Is it worth throwing $250-$300 at it? How is it off the line? That is where my truck is suffering the most since adding my exhaust system.

I see now, Custom Tune, every after market item you install is taken into account. Yes the money is worth it. I spent $300 on a power programmer and I doubt it does what a custom tune does. Even if they where the same its still worth the money.

72charger--I still cant just press the gas and spin my tires if thats what you are asking but the take off is alot better. But i also have new tires and they are over sized so i more then likely cant spin the tires with out a supercharger

Huh, that sucks. I was kinda thinking with thetorque gains I was quoted by a local speed shop that my truck would be more like my Camaro in the low end.

Does your new computer have to do any learning or mapping like some cars do when you disconnect the battery for a little while? I mean will it get any faster after it is in for a while or is it just normal as soon as you turn the truck on?
