Default Diesel exhasut suggestions...

Good morning ladies and gentlemen -havedone a few searches today and cant find the info I am looking for -what I amlooking for is suggestions on an aftermarket exhaust for my 2004 Chevy diesel pickup. Looking for a little noise and a little hp and do not want it to be too crazy....ie....do not need the local police messing with me everytime I drive through town.

Bully Dog?
Gibson?
Magna Flow?
MBRP?
etc???

Thank you!

Man hangovers suck don't they. I am no diesel expert but I know you want big. 4" diameter or so. you cannot really go to big with diesel as backpressure is not needed. I would go to a local shop and see what they say, then the only choice is how it exits. You can do the standard 45 out the right rear or dual out the back which I think looks great but no one here does on diesel. Just free it up and you will be happy

Like smoke20 said just go to a local muffler shop and talk with them. Also i would go with a programmer if you dont already have one that would help the truck with hp and gas milage alot.

Thanks guys! I have been to the local shop - they suggested a bullet (??) muffler - they want $220 to take off my old muffler and put this one in place - seems a bit high compared to a bolt on 4" system.

I will keep looking!

Already have the Bully Dog power programmer - works great - maybe I should go with their exhaust as well.

i'd go with bully dog or banks, they're the two most reputable sources for diesel power

Banks is kinda expensive, but they are really good. Bully dog would be my second choice. (short second)

I tell you, I really like the the edge attitude unit. It is shift on the fly and has a controller you canput on the dash. I just wish they made them forchevy gas trucks like they do for ford.
