Default Different quality of TH400 tranny parts?

I have an '89 Chevy C2500 with the TH400 and 158,000 miles. The tranny has never had to work too hard all its life but it is now slipping a bit and has a whine coming from it. A friend mechanic and I are going to pull it and rebuild it and I was wondering if there is any difference in quality in the TH400 replacement parts these days? I don't want to do this again in the middle of next winter. Are auto parts stores selling good quality parts these days, or are they all coming from outer Mongolia? If there are any to stay away from, please let me know! I will hunt down the good stuff if need be. Thanks! Rick.

CAUTION!!!!!!!!! unless someone has rebuild a transmission before DO NOT attempt it....as far as parts go....most rebuild shops can sell you the hard parts that you need and may even sell you a master rebuild kit (make sure it has clutches and steels in it)....get a manuel.and read it FIRST before you remove ANY bolts
