I have done a search and coulnt find what I was looking for,
I was wondering about downpipes...what they were, and what are some drawbacks/advantages to them. Also how they work.
Right now I have a Gibson Super Truck exhaust system on my truck and its just not loud enough for me [:'(]
Would downpipes give out more sound, more of a rumble...or would I be better off sticking with the system I currently have?

by down pipes do you mean turndowns? cause if you do it will be slightly louder. but nearly the same as a gibson super truck. it will hard to get any louder on a 6..... so i would stick with the gibson

 

there is also a down pipe on a turbo... is that what you meant?? because that is mostly for diesels
