Driver's side mirror, no heat

Driver's side mirror, no heat
I've been wondering for a while if I had heated side mirrors and yesterday I found out. I have heated passenger side, but not a driver's side. I know the driver's should work though. I would assume it is not a fuse issue since the passenger side works and the rear-window defroster works too. I'm going to attempt to take the mirror out to see if it is an actual heated mirror (how can you tell btw?) and to see if there is power getting to it. But I wasn't sure if anyone had any other suggestions.

RE: Driver's side mirror, no heat
I've got the reverse, drivers side, but the passenger's side is not working. The declarations sheet says "Heated power mirrors", and the manual doesn't say anything about only having one.
Is there something obvious to look for/test? A relay or some wire to look at in the power mirror harness that means that there is a defroster in it?

re-checking..i think all have both....activated when you push the rear defrost button.
what year is this truck/
an orange and a black wire come out of the ddm (drivers door module) to the heating grid,if you want to check it.
if it is THE MIRROR FAULT,YOU CAN REPLACE THE FACE

RE: Driver's side mirror, no heat
I know my mirrors don't have the defrost symbol on them.
I'm planning on trying to get to the back of the mirror and find the 2 wires that would most likely be the heated mirror wires. I'll turn the defroster on and see if I can register with my miltimeter a current. If I can, then I know it is a mirror issue, if I can't, then I know it is a wiring issue. At least that's the plan.
