Default Drop Kit Question 2/4 or 4/6

Hey everyone im new here and i gotta admit i really like all the advice- anyways - I have a 2001 single cab short bed. i currently have 22 inch forte rims with 265/35 hankooks. i was wondering how would i be able to tell how low i can go with out taking away from my turning radius and rubbing? Do you guys reccomend any specific lowering kits- i have been eyeing eibach pro truck kits. And what do you think about lowered control arms? ?good? bad?

not puite sure what kit you should go with for i chose air ride and never really looked into kits for lowering, but if you do lower it deffinitly get shorter a arms or modified ones for the vehicle also camber kits and allighnment obviously.. should solve any low speed vibrations

since you have 22inch rims i suggest no more then a 2/4 cause those are some big rims. but it depends on the tires that are on those rims.

The brand really isn't as important as the components you select... For the front, get the spindles. The coils are garbage and throw off your geometry...

For the rear, get the 2"drop shackles and 2" drop hangers.

You should have no problem with the 4/6. You see it quite a bit actually with 22's. You might have to cut some of the inner fender well away but thats a pretty common thing with changing tire size on our trucks. Those are some tiny tires on those wheels though. I have 22's with 305/40's and I don't have a ton a side wall. Hows the ride? I feel every little bump in the road with mine.

my ride is actually much smoother than stock with the air ride set up , the parts for mine cost nearly 9K alone tho but when adjusted to the proper psi it rides as smooth as a deville...but drop it or raise it and yeah its a bit rough...

If you looking for a less expensive alternative, go to sulastic.com
Their product helps with vibrations and shocks when you installed custom rims or low profile tires.
