Default dummy sensors?

i keep hearing how they make these "dummy sensors" to make the check engine light stop lighting up when you cut your cats off... well, i cut my cats off yesterday and the light came on today... i guess i need some... anybody know where to get them, who makes them, how much they cost, anything like that?

Why would you want the cats off?...the mileage will go to hell..plus they are low-restriction anyway...not to mention its illegal as hell to remove em.

i like how it sounds... i know mileage is going to hell, so i kept them just in case, but i like the sound too much to worry about mileage right now...

all you have to do is drill into yourexhaust and make a "bung" for your oxegen sensor to fit in to. that should make the light go away.

No, the 2nd set of O2 sensors just make sure your cats are working properly. You can get the simulatorsthrough Summit Racing or Jeg's. Or, you can get a custom tune and have them programmed out. Personally, I would opt for the custom tune, 'cuz the simulators are like $100 anyway... You can look up on the tuner's websites and see what each of them offer. They are all pretty much the same, just small differences. A custom tune willkick the **** out of anyhandheld programmer out there. Here are some of the tuners in no particular order...

PCMforless.com
Wester's tune
Nelson High Performance
Wheatly
Wait for Me

All the prices vary, from $75 to $450+... They can do just about anything you want them to do. I would suggest you look at the order sheets and see the questions they ask,as it would be easier and cheaper to get the tune done once...

You can if you want to... Or you can leave the sensor in and just disconnect it. Then plug the simulator into the connector and Viola...

on my mustang's h pipe I put in two bungs and just plugged the existing sensors in to them and the light went away. I am not familiar with the way chevy's o2 sensors work yet. I assume they are the same.
