Default RE: dummy sensors?

There is an On/Off setting for the O2 sensors for on my Predator. You just have to have them plugged in and tied up out of the way somewhere.

My 2 cents: I agree that tunes are better, but the more I learn about this Predator the better I feel about how I spent my money. I has "the necessities" for performance, the only things I can't do are Speed Density mode and Off Idle Power Enrichment (but there is 2000 to 4000 and 4000 to 6000 PE settings). There are people on the Diablo forum that log the data from the PCM as they are driving or racing and have dialed there cars in to get more hp than the "canned tune" and better mpg. There are two performance and a stock tune stored on the Predator, all three can be modified at any time, and any of them can be emailed to Diablosport and modifed by them at any time too. And if that ain't enough, there are shops around that can dyno tune the Predator with your truck and save it on the programmer itself along with three other programs so you can switch between them or remove them at will. They say that if you have a laptop, and some time to experiment with your vehicle, that you can actually dial it in to the point where a dyno won't be able to do much better. But you bascally need to drive the hell out of it and screw with the settings for awhile instead of one day at the speed shop. So basically it comes down to time or money.

My biggest problem in modifying the tune the way I want it. Evey day or so I get it closer to the way I want it to run. But it will prob take awhile to pull it off.

Remember that racing button option that Westers has for Tow/Haul mode? Yeah you can do that too!

Yeah but its alot of trial and error tuning. I've retuned the truck six times in one week, and although it runs much better, it still has a few quarks I have to fix. Its hard to fine tune when the weather goes up and down so much. (20s to 40s, then 30s to 40s, then 30s to 20s, from day to day)

Oh and with 99-2002 trucks, the transmission gets weird on ya unless you set it just right. I mean on second it will shift perfect and the next it will bang gears, you have to find the right setup to prevent the transmission from slamming gears without making it shift too slow.

Summmit and Jegs no longer sell the O2 Sims. You used to be abel to get them off of e-bay, but i am pretty sure the EPA caught up with the companies making them. You still can find them on the web. You still need your O2 sensors to be plugged into the sims and some of them are just a seperate wire with a resistor that you soder in.

Chevy112488: Just don't do what I did with it. I was like Homer Simpson in front of a box of doughnuts. "MORE! MORE!", lol. I cranked alot of sh*t up on the Predator, then "Chiiiiiirp! Yea Ha!" followed by "bang, bang" as it hammered thru the gears. Start out slow with it and crank it up a little at a time. There are logs you can take of the engine functions to determine if the engine is getting the best fuel are mixture and power.
