Ok the fuel pressure is 56 and steady while on idle.Apiece of something was blocking the line, we now read 56 all around..Also the ground was loose....We are letting the truck warm up with ac on to see what happens when we turn the truck off..My friend thinks there was debree in the line but waiting to see what happens when warm..Thanks for keeping up with me I appreciate this very much. I understand now that these trucks can be very complex...John

So no for the latest...when cold now won;t start,35 fuel pressure , so pump died,but what happens when we replace it, there must be something causing it to petet out..The new pump was OEM pump..

Replace the fuel relay, have the pump warranteed out for another one and go from there.
Also Steve where on a 98 c1500 is the ignition module located? My computer also showed it had one but the Chilton's doesn't cover it and it isn't in the distributor like it's supposed to be.

OK..........NEW PUMP, NEW RELAY, STARTING FROM SCRATCH..I AM HOPING IT WAS JUST ANOTHER BAD PUMP, AND IT JUST STARTED ACTING UP...LOTS OF NEW PARTS ON THE 200,000 MILE 4.3 QUAD CAB SILVERADO..
