Edelbrock IAS shocks
There's been some discussion on here lately of the Edelbrock IAS shocks. I noticed that Edelbrock has a number of IAS shocks reduced on closeout here: http://store.edelbrock.com/gm.aspx
I couldn't find them for a non-lifted 1500 (99-03), but it looks like they have almost everything else covered.

Just recievedIAS Performersfor a "leveled" '02 Sierra Z71, and they look to be on par with the Bilsteins, construction-wise... But obviously you can only tell so much from a quick visual inspection...
I'll try to let you know what I think after install (with new polyurethane bushings, re-inforced tie-rods/Cognito pitman and idler support and pivot, and new ball joints).
I'm pretty excited to try them out, should be perfect for my truck as a daily driver, and for the meantime while I save up for a JD Fab lt kit!

scored'em from autoanything... and I believe they have a 15% off deal or something right now... or at least they did.
I'll be sure to let you know how they are... although I'll be honest, it'll be hard to give a straight unbiased comparison up against the old blown bilsteins that are on there now. Just the fact that they are new and giving consistent dampening will alone make them feel like they ride like a dream I'm sure (not to mention I'm putting them on at the same time as several other upgrades...).

Anyone knows which is the best: Bilstein, Pro Comp or Edelbrock shocks?

I'd say that comparison ispretty relative... based on which typeof shocks you choose.
In general, I would probablyplace Bilstein right on the top. Top notch quality of construction and technology that works, throughout a large range of applications, but you pay the price.
I don't have any first hand experience, nor muchknowledge of the pro-comp shocks, but I don't see them much in performance applications.... pretty much just their bolt on lift kit boxshocks...
I was going to go with the Bilsteins in my case, but I thought I would take a gamble on the Edelbrocks with their proprietary Ricor IAS dampening, which seems great for a daily driver/weekend warrior, and for a decent price....
