Default Extended Warranty

Hey guys.. I purchased a 2004 Z71 4x4 crew cab short bed with 37,000 miles on it. My warranty is up and have been recieving by mail offers to purchase a 100% warranty bumper to bumper for $1,400. This would last for 100,000 or 6 years whatever comes first.. I have already put 14,000 miles on since April and have spent close to 2,000 bucks on rear brakes and rotors and a air condition compressor. I think the warranty may be worth purchasing. What do you guys think?? Just need help in deciding. Thanks..

i forget what its called, but i have one on my truck through some company in mountain home arkansas... its bumper to bumper and im pretty sure it was cheaper than that... its not lifetime but its two years and renewable until the truck is over 125k... they ask basically no questions as to how things are broken (i broke my power steering pump and the rack from the rack and pinion while offroading in my 2wd, took it to the most expensive shop in town, and they sent the check no questions asked)

I got the warranty when I purchased my new '04 a few months ago. It's really good and they are pretty good about repairing about anything that goes wrong. One suggestion, don't just bring it into the dealer and say 'my left shock is leaking'. My salesman said to be vague, the dealer can only fix what you say is wrong, but if you come in and say 'the front end is weak and doesn't drive right', they can go over it and not only fix the shock, but whatever else is wrong.

Granted, the salesman also said to tell him about it first, rather than driving it into service directly, but your mileage may vary.

So we should just go to the dealer and say the truck drives like ****, has no power, and gets terrible fuel milage. Just kidding. That does acutally make sense though.
