fan
Want to convert from clutch fan to an electric and have couple of question that maybe someone could answer.
How do you wire it into the truck so that it comes on when it reaches the temperate?
Is there any special things you have to do other then remove the fan and clutch assemble?
Puss or pull ?
If anybody can help i would really appropriate it .

I've never done this yet... but I hope to some day soon. So hopefully somebody will be chiming in that HAS done it.
I expect you'll have to install a electronic temperature sending unit. It will provide the 12VDC to your cooling fan when the unit reaches peak temp, it will complete the circuit

New electric fans come with temp sensors. Some will work of your coolant temp gauge sending unit.
I've even seen an old one from back in the day that actually had what looked like a hose clamp to go on the rad hose. It actually punctured a hole in the hose!
I've seen another that use a replacement radiator cap that had a sensor built into it.
Less costly one work with a simple toggle switch.
My recommendation: Go to a parts store or speed shop, and talk to someone there about the different type of sensors available today. Or do some on-line research.
My son installed electric fans in his truck, and it was essentially a plug and play set up. It had a tap that went on to the engine temp sensor.
