Default flex exhaust

bought a 07 silverado classic 4week ago . from day one truck vibrated around 40mph. today i learned that the exhast is the source. they want to fix with a flexible exhaust pipe. i guess thing are pretty tough a GM. it will be a nice band-aid fix . not happywith their cost saving measure. thats what i get for buying a v6[:@]

I can't believe that the exhaust would give you much of a vibration. I would get another opinion.

after checking out the problem on other forums, gm has had this problem since 99, they also call for 4damper weights to be installed along the exhast system. and it"s just the v6

I've heard similar problems associated with the V-6 models, but not right off the factory line. Usually it occurs once some miles are put on it. What I would do, if you have the money, take that power robbing, back pressure producing factory exhaust off and hook it up with some real exhaust. Cat back system would probably work great with your truck. However, I'm assuming yougot the GM 100,000/mile warrenty. If that's so, let them fix it. Good luck bro, and sorry to hear about your problems.

An after market exaust will not only free up some ponies but will increase mpgs too.

As for this vibration, I have the exact same thing. It will vibrate my foot to sleep almost on long hills on the interstate.

i have the same rattle on my 03. Whilst i agree with the upgrade to aftermarket i would let chevy try to fix it first. then replace it as soon as they are done as a penalty.
