RE: Flowmaster
I have an 01 2500HD crew cab short bed with the 6.0L and i put dual forties on my truck with no tailpipes for awhile and u couldnt hear anyone talk inside. I put extension pipes on it and put the dual into one tailpipe back on it and you can hear the people in the back talk now but its still quite loud under throttle which i like myself.

RE: Flowmaster
I heard that before too with Flowmasters rusting out quickly, I had two before and both lasted twice as long as the pipe and the welds. It was usually the ****ty weld jobs and cheap pipe that went first.

RE: Flowmaster
i have true dual super 40s that are dumped behind the cab. im 19 so the louder the better. ive got a single cab so basically its all exhaust noise or radio blarring. i had mine done headers back for 300. i have a 305 right now but it sounds like a 350 with the 40s. i cant wait til i get my 350 in and see what it sounds like.

RE: Flowmaster
I agree, Louder > Quieter.
There is a point, however, that it's just a bit ridiculously loud. Like when you're coming home from a nice night out with the boys at 5 in the morning and the ladyfriend hears you coming from 3 blocks away. No way you're sneaking home. : )
