Frame painting? Help?

Frame painting? Help?
So I want to paint my frame to make it look good and to protect it. My buddy has a nasty Chevy that's all done up and he says he paints his frame gloss black with rustoleum every 6 months. So I figured I'd do the same thing.
Any have better ideas? And my truck has been just a truck for it's whole 195k miles. Now that I have it I'm going to do a full restore/build with it.
Please let me know if you have suggestions. Cash is kinda limited so please post costs as well! Thanks!

I doubt you'll get anything cheaper. I've done the same thing on different trucks just to keep the rust down. Years ago when I lived in the midwest it was common to have the bottom of the vehicles undercoated. I think most new car companies don't recommend it now, not sure why.

Personally, I'd use POR15 or get some duplicolor bed liner or undercoat spray on stuff.
Then again, if I was gonna do this, I'd be the guy who takes the engine, bed and cab off the truck and sandblast/paint it all.
