Fuel Pump Removal What TOOLS NEEDED
Hi I want to remove my fuel pump because it STB
I heard I need the fuel line disconnect tool to unhook the lines from the top of the tank. Is this the case?
Is there a way to remove the lines without the tool and I also heard that there is a plastic tool as opposed to the metal one because the metal wont get in there and the plastic one will.
Can I get this at autobarn or NAPA and what do I ask for is there a certain size tool for Chevy Silverado 2002?
Thanks Fuel pressure only 21 lbs and not holding

youll need a fuel line disconnect only if theyre quick disconnects. in any case i imagine either will do. as far as other tools none should be needed. are you planning on dropping the tank or pulling the bed?

They sent me the wrong pump anyway Rockauto has great prices but the order picker must be dyslexic
They should have pulled part FG0271-11b1 and they pulled part FG0172-11b close but not a chevy silverado pumpit is for a pontiac or buick close but no cigar so back it goesThey were good about it but would not send new part until old part gets picked back up by Fedex I was annoyed about this it was the fault of the shipper and not me.
