Gas Mileage for 1978 Scottsdale

RE: Gas Mileage for 1978 Scottsdale
Just two inches of snow here tonight. I miss having a freaking garage. My 91', the paint flaked off long before the rust came. My 99' is all rusty already. The difference? My 91 was washed frequently and parked in a barn. My 99? I drive it to the spray in wash every time and by the time I get home it looks the same! I have no garage at the house I rent and I can't pull it into the house we are buying. Grrrrrrrr! I'm moving south!! Anyone know where I can buy a house down there? lol

The lake effect is really ****ting on us now, I can't even hardly see 50 yards to the barn.
My Grandfather has a 2000 GMC extended cab with 94,000 miles on it that he keeps in immaculate condition. On a weekly basis he jacks up all four tires so he can rotate them and powerwash the undercariiage and then the truck sits in a garage alll winter while he is in florida.
ONce again, I have found another truck. This one is a 1970 with a V8, don't know if it is a 305 or a 350. http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/car/579088092.html
What kind of mileage would I expect out of this. I usually use fueleconomy.gov to research fuel economy, but, they only go back to 1985
