If your worried about it thay make MAF sensor cleaner too. I do mine every 2 or 3 oil changes to keep my mileage up.

Just how hard is it to clean the MAF? That might not be a bad thing for me to do. It pobley hasnt been cleaned sence it was took off the production line.

This whole maf cleaning deal is sounding better and better. Is the maf sensor cleaner just called maf sensor cleaner?

I'm sure you can use other stuff, but I went out and bought a can of MAF cleaner (I think CRC makes it) from Advance Auto. I took the MAF off the Airbox (or cone filter, which ever you have), and then disconnected the wire and the duct. I sprayed the wires (and the screen if you still have yours) from both sides with five or six bursts from each side. Then let it sit for a minute to make sure its dry. (Its alcohol tho so it prob only takes 20 seconds). Then I put it all back together. You may want to spray it again if its pretty dirty. The wires should look silver when they are clean.

I think it says Mass Airflow Sensor Cleaner (from CRC) on the can. B&G has one too I think. You can also use electromotive cleaner from CRC to do this (so I've heard).
