Default Header ?

I just blew a header gasket over the weekend in the dunes. My truck sounds like a vw bug rite now which sucks. Im a pick up sum header gaskets today. With how many lbs of torque do I bolt the headers wit. They are heddman headers. Also I was thinkin of buying a throttle body spacer today and rite now i have no space between the fan shroud and the k&n intake. Will it be posible to cut the shroud to make the spacer fit or will it be to close to the fan.

If your careful and position the intake the right way it won't hit the fan and you can trim the shroud enough that it won't touch the intake.

i think fan shroud clearance is more of an individual problem (what intake/tbs you have) but you should be able to trim the shroud enough to fit it... i've never heard of somebody not being able to trim it enough...

if nothing else it could give you an excuse to go electric fans

Thanx for your replies. I put the the gasket and just did it tight and ill be checkin it after work for the next couple weeks. As for the spacer. I had to trim the k&n intake tube cuz the fan would hit it. I want to go wit electric fansbut that will have to wait.I bought the airaid tbs and it sounds great. I really cant feel the difference yet cuz I have my truck loaded. I have to wait till later today.

Yea. It was like a quarter inch, maybe less. It was barely rubbin on the fan.

The shroud wasnt the problem. It was the actual fan hittin the intake tube. I thought the shroud would be a problem at first but then ran into the fan.
