Headligh replacement
I have a 2000 Silverado Z71 standard cab and I bought some new headlights and I went to replace them but I noticed that I can't just slide them out like most since some parts where blocking it. So I was wondering if there was something special I had to do. I don't want to take out the whole unit just to change the bulbs.

RE: Headligh replacement
Your 2000 should be the same as my 2001. It's a little tight getting your hand in there, but you can do it. The only thing blocking mine is a plastic/rubber shroud thing. Just pull it back a little and cram your had behind it to grab the bulbs.
If you think you cant get your hand in there, the whole headlight unit is super simple to take out and but back in. just pop the hood, and pull the two pins out of the top. They are round pins that have a 90 degree bend at the top (lilke an allen wrench).
