JUST CAME HOME FROM WORK,TRUCK RAN FINE,3 MINUTES LATER I GO TO LEAVE,TRUCK TURNS OVER AND TRIES TO START BUT WONT STAY RUNNING! NEW BATTERY,FULL TANK,DONT KNOW IF IT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH A DESCREENED MAF SENSOR?COMPUTER?FUEL PUMP?[:@]ANY IDEAS? I TRIED DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY FOR A COUPLE MINUTES AND IT DIDNT HELP.IF IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP,WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF IT GOING OUT AT THE PRECISE MOMENT I SHUT MY TRUCK OFF WHEN I GOT HOME. WHILE I WAS TRYIN TO START IT REPEATIDLY,THE DASH AND HEADLIGHTS STAYED ON EVEN WITH THE KEY TAKEN OUT OF THE IGNITION.
PLEASE HELP IM WITHOUT A VEHICLE!!!

You got the same body style as me, so I'll wager atleast 45k plus miles on it. My old boss had a nice 01 Z71 little over 46k miles his fuel filter failed and it sounds exactly like your problem. My trucks a little over 45k and was starting to have issues till I got mine changed. Hope this helps bud.

start by sprayin carb cleaner in the throttle body to see if it runs if it does then check fuel pressure if that is good buy a noide light and see if the injectors are getting turned off if so its the ecu. if u dont have fuel pressure go for the filter if the filter doesnt change it is the pump

This probably isnt much help but, on my 95 they have a nifty fuel pump test circuit at the fuse box in the engine bay. You jumper the circuit and I think turn the ignition on and if you hear the pump run next step is to check the fuel pressure. Mine just turned out to be a bad relay.

Make sure you recalibrate the isolated retractor solenoid in the quantum flux drive, other wise the gigernome sensor will read wacka doo and then you know it's all down hill from there.

Thanks fellaz....you got it argon....theft mode.Dont know why or how,but i locked the doors for thirty seconds and she fired right up.Didnt know it till after i checked fuel pressure,and swearin my *** off.
