Hesitates and Back Fires through TBI
I have a 94 GMC 2500 with a 5.7 TBI. Once the motor warms up, if I accelerate to the floor it will hesitate and back fire through the TBI and then takes off. I have changed and checked about everything that you can and I still can't figure out what is wrong. So does n e one have n e ideas? [:@]

its firing at the wrong time if its backfiring...
check the dis cap first...the timing, then i'd probably go with a rebuilt dist as these tend to lose magnatism over the years.
this is assuming its wired correctly, and stabbed in the correct tooth...no one was working on it?..it just developed this backfire?

It begs the question:
Why are you dropping the hammer to the floor? I would assume 99% of all vehicles are going to make some kind of worrysome noise if you floor it.
I've never found a reason to mash it like that. I'm afraid I'll hear that terrible "BANG" and I'll have to purchase a new truck.
