my 91 didnt hesitate or backfire either. i agree with argon as its a timing issue. the intake vaalve is opening when the fire is still there and the flame is coming out hru the intake and tbi. my 91 does hesitate now when i floor it due to the stock injectors and pump cant provide my engine with enough gas now that i buil the motor... but it stills gets on it like crazy.

old man
What the hell? I'm 22.

I'm far from being an old man. I just drive like one. I had my fair share of speed violations in my earlier years. The 'man' has completely obsolved me of the drive to go fast. I take speed limit signs as something approaching reverence.

Sure, there are times when you have to go out and pass someone who is causing a backup, but you hardly have to mash the pedal to the floor to accomplish that task.

My truck sure as hell wasn't built for speed. I respect that. : )

It was a timing problem and I fixed it and it runs better than a new one...almost...lol. Thanks for the help.

Steve, no I would not. : )

I leave that sort of thing to people who can afford to buy new tires whenever they want.

Cops look at my truck and don't even bother me, i have a completly stock 02 pewter 4X4. I bet if i ever put rims on it or a lift kit I will get pulled over daily. My point being looks are everything to a cop.
