Default Hey Fellers / new Cheby owner

Picked up an 09 1500 Z71 Ex. Cap with the 5.3. Going to take the stock tires off and put on BFG/AT. Was told the 305 / 65 R18 would fit. ( have the stock 18 inch wheels). Anyone put on rubber that big and not have issues? Also how do I bypass the seat belt warning buzzer. We drive a bunch down country roads and hate to hear that buzzer going off. Also anything I should watch out for down the road? Was a Die Hard Dodge Ram guy but since the Chapter 13 mess, they do not have much inventory here in the D/FW area. Had some killer deals on the 09's still in stock so jumped ship. Pretty happy with the few days I have had the truck but it sure does ride a lot lower than my Ram! Going to have to jack the truck up to change the oil now hahahahaha
Thanks guys!

I don't know how the seatbelt disconnect works on the newer trucks, but mine was a simple slice of a wire down underneath the buckle and no more annoying buzzer.

Welcome and feel free to post some pics!

Those new tires will be wider so for clearance alot of folks have been also installing those wheel spacers. It gives it a wider lookin more aggressive stance also. There alot of cons for those spacers but ultimately its narrowed down to proper installation to prevent problems. As far as the buzzer, IDK, but try just unhookin the power to the buzzer and see if does not create problems like the security system.

So let me see, has anyone ever seen a truck in a ditch on a country road?

I love trips down country roads, dirt roads, logging roads, you name and places with no road, but my truck does not move until everyone is buckled up period.

Think about it a bad situation gets ugly real fast with no seat belt.

Enjoy the truck
