every now and then my horn will work and then not. i will be driving.. and try to beep the horn it doesnt work.. but after punching the steering wheel 20 times it starts working again haha.. you guys think its a short or jsut the horn needs to be replaced?

 

it needs to be checked with a test lite...when its NOT working,unplug a horn and see if your getting power to it....
could be the relay

 

I had the same problem with mine and had to clean the contact inside the steering wheel. (UNPLUG YOUR BATTERY FIRST) Working around the air bag was a bitch.

Where was the short Derekm? I cleaned the contacts on mine and it worked before, now it stopped again. Where did you find the short?

 

i did what you did i took apart the steering wheel and cleaned the contacts and the airbag was a bitch haha, its working as of now but lets see how long it lasts, but if it stops working ill prob jsut end up bringing it down to the local shop, so is that considered a short or...haha i dont know

i bet your relay is going out.
