how to bypass auto sensor for headlights
I read how to press the dome light 4 times and all that. The 2 reasons I want to bypass or even put in a switch, is 1) when I start my truck in the morning the headlights shoot in my neighbors window 2) being the most important, when I go hunting and drive through the fields to get where we need to go. I prefer going in stealth mode as to minimize disturbing the animals that were hoping to get.
I tried the e-brake in 1 click like I used to d with my astro van, but that I think only works for the daytime running lights.
any help is greatly appreciated.
I just bought a 2000 silverado LT 5.3L Z71 with 180,000km or 111,846miles
Besides this issue, the wire I need to fix for the tow/haul button, and the so called piston slap, I love this truck.

Circuit diagram attached for reference.
Install a switch on circuit 352 (white wire on pin A11 of the BCM C2 plug) between the BCM and the headlights. The Auto position of the headlight switch does nothing except open the circuit so the lights aren't on. The lights are then controlled by the BCM based on the signal from the ambient light sensor. Dark=headlights on. Daylight=DRL on. A switch between the BCM and the headlights will provide a way to open the circuit even when it's dark and the BCM is commanding the headlights to be on. Since it's dark out, the DRLs won't be commanded to be turned on.
