Personally I wouldn't take a chance with a used one. I just installed a new one on my 2500 Suburban and picked it up at O'reilly's. It's guaranteed! It's not a real hard job but not one I would want to do over and over because I got a bad used one.

No, the hardest part is getting to the fasteners under the dash.

They are fairly easy to see and not that bad to get at with a swivel and extension. If you look at the HB unit you will see the 4 studs that go through the firewall - each one of those has a nut on it. Don't sweat it, it isn't that bad.

I haven't seen on emounted with inverted torx. The studs that hold the hydroboost to the master cylinder have inverted torx on one side but you can use a regular socket/wrench on them.

Default 1975 c30 hrodrbooster leaking

I have the same issue with my 75 c30. Hate to buy a new one so I thought I'd try the kit. Got it off the truck with pretty good ease but a couple issues I need assistance on.
1. How do I remove the rod from the unit that connects to the brake peddle?
2. Which wrench should I use to remove the large nut holding the unit to the plate that holds it to the firewall.
3. Where could I find a good used unit from a 75 or 76 c30? I live near Memphis, Tn.

I will try to upload pics. of the unit.
Thanks
