I hate it when I am wrong...
I did the brakes on my 2001 Silverado on Monday and still had a pulsation when I pressed the brake. When I did the brakes I replaced the rotors, pads, and the parking brake shoes. So I started looking at other components namely the ABS because the pulsation was bad enough that it could have been the ABS kicking in. I unplugged the fuse to the ABS and drove it and it was still the same. So remembering an argument I had with my father years ago about having new rotors turned I started thinking maybe I got bad rotors. The strange thing is the new rotors pulsed exactly like the old ones. I took the fronts off and went back to O'reilly's and since the one guy that knows the brake lathe wasn't there they just warrantied them and gave me new ones. I went back home and put them on and had the same pulse. At this point I was pulling my hair out and started searching on the internet for possible other casues. After fighting with myself I pulled the rear rotors back off and went back to O'reilly's. This time the brake guy was there and he put them on the lathe telling me he has only had 3 bad rotors come back since he started working there. Well, now he has had 4. There was a tiny spot that was out so he took as little off as he could and BAM no more pulsation. I tucked my tail between my legs and went over to my dad's and told him he was right and I will always turn new rotors from now on. I think he is still laughing.

I don't see why not! LOL. I pulled a set off of a 2002 Tahoe that looked just like that a few months back. The driver was complaining about a strange noise from the rear - I guess so!
