The problem with all those aftermarket add-on's is you will need to drive the truck 1,000,000 miles to get your money back in gas savings. Make sure your truck is properly tuned-up, air filter is clean, and drive like you have some sense. Forget all those other add-on's! Driving with your tailgate down will do the same as a tonneau cover and it's FREE! I personally have noticed increased gas mileage by using higher octane gas. A little more at the pump, but it lasts me long enough to justify it, especially when towing. Just my 2 cents!
First thing I did was take my tailgate off. I keep straps in toolbox. If I plan on hauling something I'llget tailgate out of garage. LOL

gas mileage?
i have a 1500hd crew cab witha 6.0 also, i've tried all the tricks that i could afford, tb spacer,k&n,flowmaster 3" exhaust,blah blah, it got 12mpg before i did this stuff, and it gets 12mpg now. these things are built to work and fuel economy just isn't really an option. but if you do find something that works for you, please let me know!!!
