Default I need to change light bulb behind headlight switch

how do I get the trim piece off from around the dash gauges? Does it pop out or up? I don't want to put too much stress on it for fear of breaking it.

My truck you need to adjust the steering all they way down, then pull the shifter all the way down, then pull the corners of the dash gently, then the rest will follow. Then you have to work it out from around the steering cloumn, but its not as bad as it sounds.

Just like Jcbst12 said. I just pulled my friends 1995 off and it was easy.

I also have one bulb out behind the speedometer. Am I able to access the rear of the gauge after removing the trim piece or do I have to remove the gauge cluster?

The entire thing should pull out as one piece and the bulbs are accessable on the board. FYI sometimes cleaning the contacts is all the bulbs need to work. Those suckers can be expensive!

I was able to remove the trim piece and find the bulb for the headlight switch. It is a very unique bulb. Is this a dealer only bulb? advance was closed yesterday.
