Default Ignition Problem Electrical Under Dash

Truck 1993 chevy single cab with v8 350 4x4

Ok so i have had this truck for a while the previous owner shaved the door handles, and put all the wiring under the steering colum under the dash. Well today (truck not running) i bumped a wire or something and crackel pop then smoke. Comes from over by the cigarette box, i look down and theres smoke in the wire. So i disconnect battery found the wires that shorted out and it happend that my doors they spliced into the ingition switch hot wire to use for the doors. Well it ground n a piece of bare metal. fixed it and dash lights will work if i push the switch, but as for turning the key no response. So i replaced ignition switch and still nothing, the hot wire leading to the switch isnt hot, and idk where the heck were its coming from and if there are any fuseable connections or what. Any ideas"? or wiring diagrams

Check all the fuses, under the hood and next to the dash (or under the dash). You more than likely blew a fuse somewhere, just finding it will be the battle. As for wiring diagrams, get a chilton manual.
