Has anyone heard of installing a K&N intake voiding the factory warranty.

RE: K&N intake
The dealership might tell you it will but CFR title 15 sec 2301(c) states that they must prove the after market parts or changes you made caused the problem, unless they can do that you are ok, just make sure you clean your MAF after the K&N oil gets on it.

RE: K&N intake
The regulation I spoke of is the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act, the dealer will say they never heard of it because most people figure they know what they are talking about and leave it at that, but if your motor was put together on a friday and the guy doing it didnt torque the rod bolts (just for example) putting a K&N on the vehicle did not make the motor come apart. They have the burden of proof, so only something caused directly by the after market part or change is not covered by warranty, it does not void the entire warranty.
